Respiratory — Canine
High-yield respiratory presentations in canine cases, drilled with NAVLE-style vignettes.
Tracheal collapse is managed medically first: weight reduction, harness instead of collar, cough suppression, and avoiding excitement and heat. Stenting and surgery are reserved for refractory cases. Uncomplicated canine infectious respiratory disease complex is typically self-limiting; antibiotics are reserved for fever, lethargy, inappetence, or mucopurulent discharge. The dog remains contagious and should be isolated.
